Welcome! I am Kurt, a Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) Certified Recovery Coach, specialising in coaching for recovery from porn addiction and findom addiction, and more generally recovery from lust- and kink-related addictions.
What recovery coaching is and is not
In short, coaching is support and guidance. It is a collaborative, non-judgemental partnership. Recovery coaching provides you with the recognition, insights, and motivation to make needed changes in your recovery. It can help solve practical challenges as well as spark and answer questions about yourself.
Recovery coaching is not therapy. While the whys and hows from the past may be explored, coaching is not meant to repair trauma. It focuses instead on the present and future. What coaching can do is create awareness of the effects of trauma on day-to-day life and challenges.
Compared to therapy, a coaching relationship is more accessible and direct. This approach is reflected in the terminology I use: we have “planned calls” or “planned talks” instead of “sessions”, and you are a “recoveree” instead of a “client”. While working together the recoveree does not call a generic number to be redirected, or having to schedule during and for working hours even when the crisis is happening the moment they reach out.
Why be coached by me
My knowledge is combined from coaching, sponsorship, over a decade of lived experience in active addiction, self taught, and various coaching courses (among which an RCP designation).
Key aspects of how I coach:
- Personalized: Your journey is unique. My coaching is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals.
- Accessible: I use flexible scheduling and direct communication. When it is needed most, support is available to you.
- Non-judgemental: I provide a safe, understanding environment. I build on a wide range of lived experience making me extremely open minded.
Specializations
Porn addiction and lust-related addiction recovery:
- Implementing safeguards
- Developing healthy coping mechanisms
- Rebuilding relationships and self-esteem
Findom addiction and kink-related addiction recovery:
- Managing risks of enablers/ being ‘pulled back in’
- Separating healthy sexual expression and healthy kink from addictive behaviours
- Empowering you to overcome shame
In both cases coaching can be a stepping stone to receive other forms of help, be it in communities or from a counselor.
Why this is my passion, and why it is coaching
When I plotted various addictions on scales of shame and taboo it was one way that I noticed a gap in support. Not just the availability, even more so the hesitancy to reach out. The more official the organisation the more hesitant the recoveree to reach out to them.

This is why coaching fits well: while I bring my experience and knowledge to the table, we are also still peers. In this coaching working mode I am more free to relate to the recoveree than I would if it was a therapist-client dynamic.
I want to help people to overcome their shame to at least the extent that:
- they become willing and able to ask for the help they need, and that
- they start to feel and see that they are deserving of it

What has been said about my coaching
I am honoured to share this feedback, and hope you can sense the gratitude and hope in it.
Through his coaching, Kurt helped set me on a path of recovery from long-term addictions to porn and findom. Our work together helped to facilitate self-discovery and deepened self-understanding, resulting in more clarity, patience and compassion for myself and others.
